We follow the coastline north. First stop: Safi, known for pottery glowing with earthy blues and greens.
Further on, El Jadida greets us with its atmospheric Portuguese cistern, where light skips across stone like a quiet spell.
In the evening we reach Casablanca and enjoy a relaxed city stroll.

After breakfast, we visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, echoing with ocean wind and marble.
We continue to Rabat, the calm capital, wandering through the Oudayas Kasbah and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V.
Later, the road winds into the Rif Mountains until the blue maze of Chefchaouen appears like a watercolor.

A day to explore the medina, where every alley feels dipped in sky-pigment. We climb slowly toward the Spanish Mosque for a sweeping panorama and then drift back downhill through craft shops and gentle cafés.

We leave the blue city and travel toward the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where mosaics still whisper stories of banquets, gods, and everyday life.

In the evening we arrive in Fes, the intellectual heart of the country.

Exploration of Fes begins: monumental gates, the golden doors of the Royal Palace, and the labyrinthine medina buzzing with artisans.
We visit Al-Qarawiyyin, one of the world’s oldest universities, and the ornate Attarine Madrasa. In the tanneries, colors ripple in great stone basins.

We drive south through mountain folds. In the cedar forest near Azrou, Barbary macaques leap among branches.
Lunch in Midelt, surrounded by desert-framed peaks.
The road descends into the lush Ziz Valley, its palm groves stretching like a green river.
By sunset we reach Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara.

We ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes, drifting toward silence.
Lunch with a nomad family, tea brewed over embers.
In the evening our desert camp fills with soft music and warm tagines beneath constellations that feel close enough to touch.

After breakfast, we pass through Rissani’s traditional market, then wind through the Todra Gorge, a canyon carved by time and stubborn water.
In Ouarzazate, the gateway to desert cinema, we pause before crossing the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass back to Marrakech.
