Welcome to Casablanca, a vibrant city with a rich history and cultural monuments. After pickup from your hotel or a meeting point in downtown Marrakech, begin your Casablanca day trip. You will take a break and have breakfast before heading to the impressive Sacre Coeur Cathedral, a magnificent architectural marvel that highlights the city’s colonial past. Next, you will head to Mohamed 5 Square, which is conveniently located near the United Nations Square. You will have about 20 minutes to explore the area, appreciate its historical significance and take photos. The next point on the itinerary is the highlight of your trip, the famous Hassan 2 Mosque, which is not only a religious site but also an architectural masterpiece that symbolizes the modernity and grandeur of Morocco. Named after King Hassan II, the mosque is a testament to the country’s rich cultural heritage and Islamic traditions. Built in the late 20th century, the mosque took over six years to complete and involved the skills of thousands of artisans. The interior is adorned with beautiful mosaics, intricate woodwork and marble floors, creating a serene and impressive atmosphere. The prayer hall has a retractable roof that lets in natural light and creates a sense of harmony between the spiritual and natural elements. (12€ PP fee).
